What has the comments others have posted on my blog
taught me about my own writing?
Thankfully enough, some people commented on my blog posts about my writing. They've pointed out my spelling mistakes that I usually make, corrected my grammar errors, and suggested better sentence structures for me to write a better paragraph. Every single comments were very helpful to me. They made me to be careful about spellings, to learn more about grammars that I didn't know, and to think before writing about fancy sentence structures.
What have the comments I have posted on other blogs
taught me about writing?
I'v never commented on other students' writing before, so it was very unique and positive experience for me. While commenting on the blog posts of others, I could find a lot of mistakes and errors. It was strange that I couldn't find a single mistake on my own writing when I wrote it, but I was able to find other student's mistake very well. I figured out that this is not because I am better at writing. It's because I simply don't pay attention when writing. The comments I have posted on other blogs taught me the attitude. I should write my writing with the feeling of commenting my own writing just like l did to others.
Dear Ji-Hwan,
답글삭제I was surprised to see that you showed great appreciation in people’s comments. You not only accepted your mistakes but also learned to change your style of writing since you’ve decided to write your paragraph with feelings! From what I read, your paragraph was flawless and was very easy to read through. (: would like to make small suggestions that could help your paragraph. You might want to change the phrase 'Every single comments were very helpful to me,’ in the fourth sentence into ‘Every single comments was very helpful to me.’ Since a word “every” is always used as singular subject, there must be a correction. Besides this trivial error, I certainly enjoyed reading yours and did agree with your perspective on writing paragraphs. (: Feelings and emotions do influence the writing!
Best wishes,
So Young Yoon
Hi Ji-hwan,
답글삭제I am interested to read your answers. I also could not find my mistakes on my writing, but I was able to find other student's mistakes. It is very funny… Notwithstanding, I think we could have grown steadily by receiving feedback from others and giving feedback to others. Well, I'll cut this short for now.
Have a good day,
Jin-myeong
Hello Jihwan,
답글삭제As you’ve been a big help last time, I wondered what have you wrote about the second question. While reading your answer about the second question, I’m filled with admiration for your thought about the reason why you shouldn't find a mistake on your own writing. Your answer is “It's because I simply don't pay attention when writing.”. I also make some mistakes, but I have never thought that way before. I should concentrate on my writing to avoid making mistakes. Thanks for your valuable opinion. :)
Have a nice day,
Hyewon
